Apple fritters bring everyone closer to a campfire. Your friends become mesmerized watching and listening to the little ball of bough turn into a golden delicious delicacy. I prefer using a 10 deep Lodge Dutch oven with a 9 inch Deep Fry Basket.

- Honey Crisp & Granny Smith apples
- Pealed
- Diced
- Sprinkled with cinnamon
- Canola Oil at 375 degrees Fahrenheit
- Pillsbury Cresent Rolls
- Dough rolled out
- Cut into squares
- Place apple pieces onto dough
- Add a dab of apple sauce
- Pinch the dough into a pocket like pierogi / dumpling
- Fry it
- When golden lift the fry basket
- Let the fritter rest and drip oil back into the Dutch oven
- Remove fritter and drizzle powder sugar glaze or sprinkle with powder sugar

- 2tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
- 1teaspoon vanilla
