Help Preserve a Story
FloridaOATS welcomes firsthand accounts of Florida waterways, outdoor traditions, Scouting, camp kitchens, community elders, traditional crafts, conservation, and skills passed between generations. Nominate a canoe builder, camp cook, Sea Scout skipper, family member, or other keeper of useful knowledge.
What to Include
Tell me who or what the story concerns, where and when it took place, why it matters, and what you witnessed personally. Photographs, recipes, documents, and oral recollections can help, but please identify sources and distinguish memories from documented facts.
Permissions and Editorial Review
Submit only writing and images you own or have permission to share. Obtain consent before providing private information, particularly about young people. Submissions may be edited for clarity, length, and accuracy in consultation with contributors. Submission does not guarantee publication. Credit and permissions will be agreed before publication.
