About Florida OATS can help you thrive…

Jeff Fabiszewski aka “Jiffypop” & “Mr. Fab”

Jeffrey’s passion for playing outside began in the 1970’s and evolved when he moved to Clearwater, FL. As a youth he canoed with his Dad and cooked outside in the backyard; the father and son duo backpacked through mountainous hiking trails as Boy Scouts

Outdoor Adventures Thrive & Survive

…is the evolution of my old Liquid Rhythm Kayaking website developed in 2007. I have emerged from the water and I am back on land sharing my love and knowledge of the outdoors with others.

Living and enjoying all that Florida has to offer helped me, my friends and guests evolve. Once I only focused on teaching kayaking, and then kayak expeditions, and now life is helping me move into a new phase of enjoying all of the flora and fauna in Florida. The goal is to survive this experiment we call life; reality starts here and I want to share my humor, life experiences, and knowledge to help you surf life.

Dirt and Water are necessary for human life. Moreover, we need to flow and adapt to the environment as does water and the plants along the riverbank. We all live in an environment of cultural constructs. That’s why we escape the confines of the city to go backpacking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, trail running, mountain biking. And at times when we cannot get outside we escape into a world of Board Games, Books, Movies, Sports, Television, and Video Games.

This website is all about different types of laughter in the outdoors. We have a short amount of time to explore the experiment we call life; so, we need to make life memorable during the little time we have. Just as water flows between ice, to liquid, to steam, our new website is evolving to bring you the best information and fun to help you thrive while embracing the fun of the outdoors.

Like you the outside holds dreams, passions, and means of relaxation. My social media goes through cycles of inactivity and activity. The reality is when I am not posting I am outside camping, paddling, hiking, teaching, working day jobs, being a parent, and keeping my spouse. happy. It is not easy to juggle and sometimes we drop a ball. Just ask my spouse. 🙂

The nice thing about our website is that you will discover several things. We have covered topics on camping, food, recipes, expeditions, gear, and movie reviews, what to do when there is no water to play in, how to deal with pain. Our short biographies give you a little insight into where we came from. The list of classes evolves; we have polished our knowledge to help you get out and have more fun. There are also links to organizations that we have been a part of and other resources that will help you fulfill your dreams, passions, and relaxation outdoors.
